This month’s theme is Refreshing!

This month’s photography blog circle session coincided nicely with my youngest’s 1-1/2 year birthday portrait.  (He’s such a sweet little-old-man-bebe.  He’s totally happy to be here, man.  If you met him I guarantee you’d like him.)

Since it’s been a relatively cold and rainy “summer”, I was feeling pretty awesome that today it’s 86 and sunny with bluuuue skies!

Now – Hubband is not a fan of hot weather.  He’s even more not-a-fan of wearing long pants and a black polo shirt while walking around downtown when it’s 86 and humid.  So what, dare I ask, is the most refreshing thing we could think of?

Well if you know my family – the answer is usually Starbucks.  Of course it’s Starbucks if we need warm coziness too.  Or to be around people.  Or to get away from people.  We can usually justify a trip for basically any reason.

Bebe O made himself comfortable with my drink and even flirted with a lady working at a table outside.

Following our trip to get hydrated, Bebe O and I took a little walk to a place most other people would find refreshing too – one of the pretty fountains downtown Naperville along the river walk.

He got soaked of course.   Worth it.

We call this the Dandelion fountain.

Now check out my friend Gretchen at Gigi’s Joy Photography to see what she shot for this month’s Refreshing photography blog theme.  And sprinkle some comments around on the blogs if you like what you see – it will make our day!

Ciao for now,

-Kate
