If you’re f0llowing along, today’s iheartfaces challenge theme is
The bebes are “napping” so I did this one solo, no faces included (except on my ID)… (btw, when I say “napping”, I mean bebe H is probably on her way to sleep, and bebe O has been fighting sleep for the last 20 minutes or so….)
Last night I went to a “Yelp Elite” event with my super talented and wicked smart blogger friend Kelly. It was only a few hours, but I did the full out hair-do and make-up and even brought my “fancy” purse (not the giant, you-could-fit-an-actual-bebe-in-there-every-day purse).
So here’s the goods of what’s “in my bag” – get ready to thrill at the sheer excitement of it all!
So here’s the fancy purse and the contents (ooooooohhhh)
And as for the stories behind all of this treasure…
(but first, can I just say that DANG I need a manicure (don’t judge!) … you’ll see as you scroll down…. )
This is my MAC lipgloss, you can see it’s well loved. I’m really a chapstick kind of girl. Lipstick makes me look like a clown.
But this stuff is my magic weapon against looking like a ghost in photos, which I’ve been having taken more often lately as I network with my hubs for his law firm.
You can see there’s only 2 pieces left. I think I’ve had this same package for a few months – I guess I’m holding out till I need to talk to someone really important.
Speaking of really important – I always try to carry some of my business cards. Because you just never know where a conversation will take you, and when I meet someone that values custom photography – well – a girl’s got to be prepared!
I call this next one: “Random-ness”
A nail file I got at last night’s event, a pony-tail holder, and a coat check tag that I forgot to return from one of those networking things I mentioned above…
This next one makes me laugh, because it looks like I’m rolling in the dough (right?) It’s a bunch of ones and a couple of fives.
Come on, I have kids. I have no real money!
And we have here my daughters dress up hula-girl lei. I brought it because I wanted to be prepared for the event last night. I’m good like that.
Annnnnnnd – that’s it.
