I have a dear friend that I met right before my wedding day five years ago.  Talented in her profession (makeup and hair stylist for the finest weddings in Chicago-land), excellent cook, mom and friend.

There is a quietness that I can sometimes catch (this time it was fitting that she had her signature tea to enjoy), that belies her inner philosopher and writer.  I’ve seen her handle the most difficult clients with ease and grace – never revealing (even to me) that she’s frazzled.

When I visited a few days ago I had the great fortune to photograph her in front of this amazing window light in her living room.  (Of course there are other great shots from that day, but I’ll save them for another post).
