Last night I looked ahead at the theme for today from the iheartfaces photo-a-day challenge, which is
and thought – MAN – I had just missed my perfect opportunity!
When I’d gotten the bebes out of the bath last night, Bebe H had insisted on me putting her fluffy white towel wrapped up on top of her head. She looked “like a Princess!” she said. (Maybe her princesses have giant white bouffants.)
But she certainly did look pretty.
So this morning I asked her if she wanted to put the towel on her head so Mama could take a picture of her today.
“No.”
A little while later I tried again, “How bout we put that pretty towel on your hair again, so Mama can get a pretty picture of you!”
“No.”
An hour later, “Bebe H, do you want to try that pretty fluffy towel picture now?”
“No.”
Act II:
Our mid-day routine entails lunch, a cartoon, and then nap.
So after lunch I strategically tried again – “Bebe H, do you want to run up for your nap now, or do you maybe wanna try that fluffy towel in your hair so Mama can take a picture?”
I bet you can guess what she said this time. 🙂
We tried probably seven times to get the towel up on her tiny head and wispy (dry) hair before I asked her if I could get her hair wet so the towel would work. She was amused at this crazy idea (and bonus! It meant further nap delays!) I still had to redo the turban about five times throughout our little shoot, but I did get some sweet little mirror shots of the little lady.
(Sibling bonus: Bebe O spent all of this distraction time throwing things off the balcony and pouring chocolate milk on the rug…)
Here’s the fluffy-wuffy wiggly results.
(This first one is what I submitted for the daily challenge)
Don’t forget! You can see more of my Naperville photography work on my other blogs – like this one which is about feeties, this one which is shows photos at a different level, and this post, showing lifestyle photography of some my loves.
Ciao for now,
